Norwegian punk rock powerhouse Honningbarna will take the stage at On The Rocks in Helsinki on Friday, December 5th. Widely considered one of Norway’s top live acts, the band released their acclaimed new album Soft Spot earlier this year, earning praise from both fans and critics. Founded in 2009 in Kristiansand, Norway, Honningbarna broke through with their debut album La Alarmane Gå (2011), which won the Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy) for Best Rock Album. Their second album, Verden er Enkel, was recorded with renowned producer Pelle Gunnerfeldt (known for his work with Refused, The Hives). With seven full-length albums to date, Honningbarna sing in Norwegian and often address social and political issues such as injustice, capitalism's dark sides, and abuse of power.
Famed for their wild and high-energy live shows, the band was awarded "Live Band of the Year" at Norway’s P3 Gull Awards in 2015. Having toured extensively across the globe, Honningbarna last performed in Finland at Turku’s Kesärauha Festival in 2022.
