BRITISH POST-PUNK BAND SHAME RETURNS TO FINLAND

Breaking out of South London’s vibrant underground scene, the uncompromising post-punk and indie rock five-piece shame is set to return to Finland this autumn. The band will perform at Helsinki’s Korjaamo (Vaunusali) on October 10, 2025. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 6 at 10 AM via Lippu.fi.

Formed in 2014 in South London, shame quickly emerged as one of the UK’s most exciting alternative rock acts. Their 2018 debut album Songs of Praise drew widespread critical acclaim and marked the start of their international ascent. The band has been at the forefront of a new wave of fiery, socially conscious post-punk groups, alongside peers like IDLES, Fontaines D.C., Viagra Boys, and Lambrini Girls.

Their sophomore album Drunk Tank Pink and the 2023 follow-up Food for Worms continued to push boundaries, showcasing the band's bold sound and intense energy. shame’s previous performances in Finland — at Flow Festival, Kesärauha, and Ilosaarirock — have left a lasting impression with their raw, no-holds-barred live presence infused with unmistakable British swagger and charisma.

shame is currently gearing up for the release of their fourth studio album Cutthroat, due out September 5. The record was produced by Grammy-winning John Congleton (known for his work with St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, and Alvvays), and promises to take the band’s fearless artistry to even greater heights.
