Internationally loved performance artist, poet, comedian, speaker and actor ALOK returns to Finland as part of their Spring Stand-Up Tour, performing at Helsinki’s Savoy Theatre on Friday, May 22. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 9 at 10 AM.
Known for a deeply moving stage presence that challenges gender norms, ALOK has built a devoted global following and is widely recognized as a fearless advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. They have appeared as a headliner at major international comedy festivals and across numerous television and film productions, including Netflix’s Hannah Gadsby: Gender Agenda as well as HBO series Random Acts of Flyness and Sort Of. They also star in their own documentary short film ALOK.
ALOK’s work as an author has received worldwide recognition, and their ongoing work to advance equality and inclusion has also been honored by organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union.
With a creative voice that continues to push boundaries, ALOK’s distinctive performances have captivated audiences in more than 40 countries. Finnish audiences have previously seen their performances live at Helsinki’s House of Culture in 2024 and at a sold-out show at the Savoy Theatre in 2022. This spring, ALOK returns to the Savoy stage with a powerful new show.
