In June 2025, history will be made at Tavastia when The Kinky Thing trio play all three of Kingston Wall's albums live. This is as close as the original band's live shows get.
The Kinky Thing is an exceptional tribute that has won over even the most demanding Kingston Wall fans with both its playing and its sound. The band plays as a trio, just like their predecessors, and at their shows they also play excerpts from tracks from their original albums. The band uses equipment and instruments from the original band, including Sami Kuoppamäki's Kingston Wall-era drum kit. The evenings will be crowned by a thoughtful selection of guests in the spirit of the original albums.
The tribute band was formed in early 2023 for the launch of Kimmo Aroluoma's "Kingston Wall Legacy" book. Since then, the band has continued touring, playing numerous sold-out shows around Finland. The Kinky Thing is made up of Lauri Leno (bass and vocals), Peter Salonen (guitar and backing vocals) and Erik Nickull (drums).
