Swedish melodic death metal band The Halo Effect will return to Finland in spring 2027, playing two shows at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki on March 17 and Pakkahuone in Tampere on March 18. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 17 at 11:00.
Known for combining heavy guitar riffs with catchy melodies, The Halo Effect has been praised for bringing back the classic Gothenburg sound. The band’s members are known for their work in In Flames and Dark Tranquillity – two key acts that helped make the genre popular worldwide in the early 2000s. Their debut album Days of the Lost (2022) reached high chart positions in both Sweden and Finland, and the follow-up March of the Unheard (2025) only pushes them further as a band carrying the genre’s legacy forward with renewed force.
The Halo Effect last played club shows in Finland in early 2025 and has also appeared at several festivals since then. The spring 2027 shows will give an even bigger audience the chance to experience the band’s powerful live performance. The Halo Effect will also perform at Kaaos Festival in Vaasa this summer.
Guitarist Niclas Engelin comments on the upcoming tour: “Halos in Europe, we can't wait to be back on the road in 2027! This time we bring the almighty Lacuna Coil and Omnium Gatherum with us, who we have been friends with for a long time. We look forward to an amazing time with you all!”
Also joining the tour is Italian modern metal band Lacuna Coil, known for their big, gothic-leaning metal songs, inspired by artists like Bring Me The Horizon, Hans Zimmer and Paradise Lost.
Opening the shows is Finnish metal band Omnium Gatherum, who have been active since the 1990s. Their sound combines heavy riffs, strong melodies and driving rhythms into a solid mix of Scandinavian death metal and melodic elements.
