One of the most intriguing voices in British alternative music, Katherine Priddy, will make her first-ever visit to Finland this autumn. Priddy releases her third album, These Frightening Machines, in March, and as part of the album’s release tour will perform at Korjaamo’s Kulmasali in Helsinki on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Ticket sales begin on Friday, February 6 at 11:00 am via Lippu.fi
These Frightening Machines follows Priddy’s previous acclaimed albums The Eternal Rocks Beneath (2021) and Pendulum Swing (2024), both of which topped the UK Official Folk Albums Chart. The upcoming record has been described as her most experimental and personal work to date.
Released in January, the latest single Hurricane introduces the emotional landscape of the album, reflecting on gender, identity, and the search for balance during a period of personal transition. The album is produced by Rob Ellis, who has previously worked with artists including PJ Harvey and Anna Calvi.
In addition to sold-out headline tours, Katherine Priddy has performed at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Green Man, and End of the Road. With hauntingly beautiful vocals and finely detailed guitarwork, her live performances offer a deeply immersive and intimate listening experience.
