Marko Annala, best known as the frontman of Mokoma, is embarking on a new chapter and will release his first solo single Save Room under the moniker Alter Annala. The single offers a glimpse of his forthcoming solo album, set for release next autumn. Annala will perform his first-ever solo live show at Tavastia on Saturday, August 29. An electronic aesthetic has been simmering in the artist’s mind for a long time, and the Alter Annala project represents a natural next step in his career. At the same time, it opens the door to the musical world of his upcoming solo material. The concept had been evolving for nearly a decade before he felt ready to embrace it, finding in Alter Annala a way to step outside his familiar role and approach music with a new kind of artistic expression.
On the single Save Room, the worlds of gaming and reality intertwine, moving from the thrill of childhood gaming into adulthood, where responsibilities begin to accumulate. The track is released today, February 13.
