Known for their crushing walls of riffs and unyielding energy, High On Fire return to Helsinki to perform on Monday, August 17 at Ääniwalli. The band’s music fuses sludge, doom, and thrash metal in an unfiltered form, echoing the legacies of Black Sabbath and Metallica. Ticket sales begin on Wednesday, February 4 at 12:00 via Tiketti.
Formed in Oakland in 1998, High On Fire have been one of the most uncompromising forces in heavy music ever since. In 2019, the band won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with the title track from their album Electric Messiah. After eight full-length releases, the band entered a new era with their latest album Cometh the Storm (2024). The album has been hailed as one of the most aggressive and straightforward releases of High On Fire’s career, showcasing both the striking power of the band’s signature elements and uncompromising drive to push the boundaries of metal.
High On Fire have toured extensively across Europe and North America, both on headline tours and at major metal festivals. In Finland, the band have previously performed at events such as Tuska Open Air Metal Festival and at Korjaamo in Helsinki. Praised for their intense and razor-sharp live performances, High On Fire will once again unleash their fury in Helsinki in late summer.
