Fullsteam Agency’s artist roster has expanded with six exciting new names. The latest additions are Aatulove, Free Carmen, helmi marleena, Junkkataxi, Piirpauke, and Vilma Alina.
Aatulove is a rising domestic pop talent who describes their music as emo schlager. The artist has already released two full-length albums and is currently working on the next one. Aatulove has quickly found their audience, with songs already climbing onto Spotify’s Top 50 chart in Finland.
Free Carmen is a four-piece alternative rock band whose self-produced debut album Solstice I was released this autumn, with their second album set to be released in December. The albums form a concept inspired by solstices, and were completed in London last spring with Mikko Gordon (known for working with The Smile, IDLES, Arcade Fire, Pete Townshend).
helmi marleena creates tender, heart-wrenching indie folk. The singer-songwriter’s soulful work has quickly earned praise from both audience and critics. As part of the new wave of Finnish artists, helmi marleena is also known for acclaimed live performances, where powerful lyrics truly shine. The artist is currently on a debut club tour, with tickets selling out immediately after going on sale.
Junkkataxi has shaken up the electronic music scene with their drum and bass remixes, becoming one of the fastest-growing DJ phenomena in Finland. Born from a deep love of jungle and the full spectrum of drum and bass genres, Junkkataxi spices up their sets with a sense of musical humor. Speculation about the true identity of the artist behind the mask has been intense, but for now, no one knows who they are.
Piirpauke, led by Sakari Kukko, is a legendary world music band that’s currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. The ensemble has boldly explored a wide range of musical traditions over the decades — from nuevo flamenco to jazz, prog, as well as Romanian and Turkish music. Their newly released anniversary album Lumo blends all these influences while drawing on works by Finnish master composers.
Vilma Alina is a widely acclaimed singer-songwriter who has released four studio albums and written numerous hits for other artists. The artist has been noticed and awarded for their work, and has for example been recognized with an Emma award. The talented writer and performer crafts vivid lyrical worlds and scenes. Vilma Alina’s songwriting can also be heard in songs by artists like ABREU, VIIVI, Robin Packalen, and Evelina.
