FILM COMPOSER FABIO FRIZZI COMES TO FINLAND

Renowned Italian film composer Fabio Frizzi, known for his long and distinguished career in film music, will perform in Finland this October. Last seen in Finland in 2014, Frizzi will take the stage with his band at Helsinki’s Savoy Theatre on Tuesday, October 28. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 4, via Lippu.fi.

Born in Bologna in 1951, Frizzi is best known for his work in the 1970s and his collaborations with renowned Italian film directors such as Sergio Martino, Lamberto Bava, and Bruno Corbucci. However, his most celebrated works are closely linked to the films of Lucio Fulci, often referred to as the godfather of gore horror. Frizzi’s most iconic compositions include the theme songs from Seven Notes In Black, Zombi 2, City of the Living Dead, Cat In The Brain, The Beyond, and Manhattan Baby. His work has also been praised by Quentin Tarantino, who featured the Seven Notes In Black theme in Kill Bill.

Since 2013, Frizzi has toured worldwide with his Frizzi 2 Fulci concert concept, which now returns to Finland. This time, the evening will feature music from Zombie as well as a comprehensive selection of Frizzi’s collaborations with Fulci.
