Xiu Xiu operating from the borderline of electronic music and rock music, is an American ensemble piloted by multi-instrumentalist Jamie Stewart and Angela Seo.
Longtime musician Jamie Stewart has been Xiu Xiu's creative director for over 20 years without compromising his controversial style. In the memorable lyrics of the powerful songs, the big themes of life are fearlessly discussed, from sexuality to politics, which are intertwined in a sound world that draws from old to modern classical, from machine music to post-punk and from Asian percussion music to American folk music. Over the years, the band has released numerous albums and version of artists from Pussycat Dolls to Bauhaus and re -interpreted Angelo Badalant's classic Twin Peaks soundtrack. The ensemble's 13th studio album, "Ignore Grief", released in the spring of 2023, has been praised as the strongest release of the band capable of renewal to date.
