US horror punk band Wednesday 13 will arrive in Finland next autumn accompanied by their Mid Death Crisis tour which celebrates their new album. Relying on the holy trinity of punk, hard rock and glam rock, the band will perform at Tavastia in Helsinki on Tuesday 21 October, before heading to Olympia in Tampere the following night on Wednesday 22 October. The opening act will be Swedish sleaze rock band Sister. Tickets go on sale on Tiketti on Friday 23 May at 10am.
Known for their strong visual identity, Wednesday 13 draws inspiration from the likes of KISS and Alice Cooper, as well as the Misfits, W.A.S.P. and Twisted Sister, crystallising them into an irresistible mix of big choruses and catchy riffs. The artist, who crafts his lyrics with dark humour, spices up the mixture with elements of classic horror fiction and comic books. Wednesday 13, which enjoys a wide cult global following, released its latest album Mid Death Crisis at the end of April. The album has been praised for its darker and heavier sound, accompanied by an inexhaustibly strong melodic line. Wednesday 13 was last seen in Finland in February 2024 at sold-out shows in Tavastia, Tampere and Seinäjoki together with Cradle of Filth and Sick N' Beautiful.
