Born 1958 in Tornio, legend of the Finnish underground, Lapland of the century, Veli-Matti (Läjä) O. Äijälä. Läjä has had an impressive and long career more than 40 years in hardcore/punk, heavy/trash metal, avant-garde electro, rockabilly and roots blues/boogie styles. In addition to the hardcore band Terveet Kädet, the musican is also known for the ensembles playing minimal electronic music called Aavikon kone ja moottori, The Kolmas, Vihan Miehet and Musta Toteemi.
