Founded nearly 30 years ago, Ulver has traversed a wide range of genres throughout its career. The band began with black metal, but soon incorporated influences from classical music, and later expanded into electronic and progressive music, ambient, synthpop, and film scores. Hailed as one of Northern Europe’s most versatile bands, Ulver has garnered acclaim and received well-deserved awards, including the "Album of the Year" at the Oslo Awards. Their latest full-length album, Scary Muzak, inspired by 70s and 80s horror films, was released on Halloween 2021.
