The new wave Finnish rock band Tiisu released its new album Famous Last Words, their fourth full-length record, in February 2026 and is celebrating the release by touring across Finland. The themes of the new album include the climate crisis, fractures within society, tensions in friendship, and the absurd core of being human.
Tiisu first gained wider attention in 2015 with its debut album School of Life, described as “a crazy carnival” of Finnish rock played with gleaming eyes and open hearts. The album was named YleX’s Album of the Week and established Tiisu as one of the most promising new acts in Finnish rock. The band’s second album, No One Stays Here (2017), took a darker and more serious turn, yet once again earned the title of YleX’s Album of the Week. The band then went on hiatus. Returning after the pandemic, Tiisu released its third album III in 2022, marking a clear step forward in the band’s sound and receiving strong critical acclaim.
