Exploding out of Finland’s underground at the turn of the millennium, Sweatmaster carved their way into the front line of high-energy garage rock with a ferocious blend of raw grit and thunderous riffs. Over the course of their original run, the band released four critically acclaimed albums and built a reputation as a powerhouse live act.
Their early records, Sharp Cut and Tom Tom Bullet, came out via Denmark’s Bad Afro, while later releases Animal and Dig Up the Knife followed on Fullsteam Records. Sweatmaster toured across clubs and major festivals in Finland and beyond, sharing stages with the likes of The Hives and Motörhead, while earning praise from international media including the BBC.
After going on hiatus in 2011, the band reignited the fire at Turku’s Kesärauha Festival in 2022, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album. What began as an anniversary show quickly turned into a full-scale revival. Now back where they belong, Sweatmaster are returning with renewed energy — their new album More! is out now via Svart Records.
Brace yourself. This is rock’n’roll at full throttle.
