The American punk rock band Social Distortion has been operating with an uncompromising approach since 1978. Their musical influences blend the classic rock of The Rolling Stones, the outlaw country of Johnny Cash, the rebellious punk attitude of The Ramones and The Clash, and the tireless work ethic of Bruce Springsteen. With classic albums like Mommy’s Little Monster, Prison Bound, Social Distortion, and White Light, White Heat, White Trash, the band has cemented its place as a godfather of punk. Their second-to-last release, and seventh overall, was the 2011 album Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes. In 2023, the band released a new Mommy’s Little Monster album.
