SHELLAC

SHELLAC

Shellac was an American rock band formed in 1992, known for their minimalist and often abrasive sound, blending elements of post-punk, noise rock, and experimental rock. The group consisted of Steve Albini (guitar and vocals), Bob Weston (bass), and Todd Trainer (drums). Albini (1962 – 2024) was also a key figure behind the production of many influential albums by bands like Nirvana and Pixies. The band's DIY ethos, both in music and their refusal to conform to industry norms,  earned them a cult following. Their live performances were often intense and highly regarded.
