Formed in Oulu, Finland, in 2000, Poisonblack is a metal band that released six studio albums during its career before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2015. In 2023, Poisonblack returned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its debut album, Escapexstacy, with a special Finnish club tour. The band performed the album in its entirety, complemented by a carefully selected set spanning the rest of its catalogue. Vocal duties were shared between JP Leppäluoto, who sang on Escapexstacy, and Ville Laihiala, who took over as the band's vocalist on the subsequent albums. Nearly all eleven dates of the anniversary tour sold out.
