Owen Pallett is a respected musician who first became known for the album ”The Smell of Our Own” (2003), which brought to life the art, music, DIY, and queer scenes in Toronto. As the artist has put it: “It felt like a party on stage, we were part of a big gay, fertile scene in Toronto. It was a celebratory time in our lives.”
Pallett is a virtuoso whose album ”Island” (2020) was described as heavenly, cosmic opera by NPR Music. The artist has worked with names like Frank Oceanin, Cariboun, The Last Shadow Puppetsin, The Nationalin, R.E.M.:n, Linkin Parkin, Sigur Rósin, Taylor Swiftin and Pet Shop Boys, and has co-written multiple soundtracks, for example for the the Oscar nominated movie ”Her” and Emmy rewarded movie ”Fourteen Actors Acting".
