MUDHONEY

MUDHONEY

Mudhoney is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988. Known for their gritty sound blending punk and blues influences, they were a pioneering force in the grunge movement. Founding members Mark Arm (vocals, guitar) and Steve Turner (guitar), along with bassist Matt Lukin and drummer Dan Peters, quickly gained attention with their debut EP, Superfuzz Bigmuff, which included the hit "Touch Me I'm Sick." Their raw, distorted sound and rebellious attitude helped define Seattle's underground music scene and influenced many bands, including Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Despite never achieving mainstream fame, Mudhoney remains a respected and enduring band in alternative rock, continuing to record and tour with their signature sound and DIY ethos. Their longevity and commitment to their roots have solidified them as one of grunge's true original bands.
