Moon Shot's second album, The Power was released in the Spring 2024 through the German label Reaper Entertainment. The singles, such as Blackened Spiral, soon climbed to the top of Germany’s rock radio charts. Produced by Jussi Ylikoski, Julius Mauranen, and Grammy winner David Bottrill (known for working with Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Muse, and Placebo), the album has taken the band on an extensive festival and club tour both in Finland and across Central Europe. In the Spring of 2025, the band will release a new EP and embark on their first headliner tour in Germany.
Moon Shot consists of musicians from the bands Lapko, Disco Ensemble, and Children of Bodom: Ville Malja, Jussi Ylikoski, Mikko Hakila, and Henkka Seppälä. The band, often titled as a rock supergroup, released their debut album Confession in 2021. Following the album’s release, Moon Shot toured extensively across Europe with bands such as Danko Jones, The New Roses, and Lord of the Lost.
