MARY LATTIMORE

MARY LATTIMORE

American harpist.

Lattimore, who learned to play the harp at home as a child, made her breakthrough with the album Hundreds Days, released in 2018. Her fourth and most recent studio album, Silver Ladders, released in 2020, expanded her instrumental storytelling style. The album was recorded just before the lockdown, and its tracks reflect joyful memories as a counterbalance to darkness. In addition to her solo projects, Lattimore has collaborated with artists such as Jeff Zeigler, Meg Baird, and Kurt Vile.

Drawing from improvisation, Lattimore approaches the harp with modern techniques and incorporates other instruments into her music.
