Lucy Dacus is an American singer-songwriter known for her introspective lyrics, warm vocal style, and emotive indie rock sound. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Dacus gained recognition with her 2016 debut album, No Burden, which showcased her thoughtful songwriting and gained critical acclaim. Her follow-up album, Historian (2018), further established her as a powerful voice in indie music, exploring themes of love, loss, and identity with both vulnerability and strength.

In addition to her solo work, Dacus is a member of the indie supergroup Boygenius, alongside Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. Her third album, Home Video (2021), draws on her personal experiences growing up, blending narrative-driven lyrics with lush arrangements. Known for her honest storytelling and relatable themes, Dacus has become a beloved figure in contemporary indie music.
