Finland's most popular band JVG will continue their winning streak by taking to the stage at Helsinki's Olympic Stadium in August 2023.
JVG, who has dominated Finnish playlists for more than a decade, has released hits that have been bigger than the others in recent years, breaking Finnish streaming and radio records with megahits such as "Ikuinen vappu", "Tarkenee", and "Amatimies". Band released this autumn their seventh long-playing album in a row which surpassed the platinum mark with over 24 million streams even before its release.
"As guys from Helsinki, having our own gig at the iconic Olympic Stadium is a dream come true for us. It's great to finally be able to make it happen," JVG enthuses.
JVG told their story honestly and without embellishment in the documentary film "JVG: Vuodet ollu tuulisii", which was released earlier this year. The film contained unprecedented footage that enlightened fans about the duo's career, its stages and the people behind it.
"The show will be a cross-section of our career so far, and we want to have a good party on the stage first and foremost!" the band sums up.
The multiple Emma Award-winning JVG has filled clubs, festival stages and concert arenas along the way, so the Olympic Stadium is a natural next step for the band. The iconic venue will witness a concert that celebrates friendship and condenses the success story Jare and VilleGalle have built since 2009 into Finland's most successful rap duo. Several artists who have collaborated with JVG will be seen at the big concert.
