For over a decade, JVG has dominated playlists and broken domestic streaming and radio records, making them one of Finland's most undeniably popular groups. Over the years, JVG has won multiple Emma Awards, and their successful releases have consistently followed one after another; several megahits like "Ikuinen vappu," "Tarkenee," and "Amatimies" are rarely unheard by listeners.
In August 2023, JVG made their dream come true by taking the stage at a sold-out Helsinki Olympic Stadium as the biggest performance of their career to date. In 2022, a documentary film of the same name was released, telling the band's story honestly and without embellishment.
Founded in 2009 by Jare and VilleGalle, JVG has sold over 300,000 albums, performed repeatedly at sold-out arenas, and broken numerous Spotify records. The single "Ikuinen vappu," released in February 2019, is one of the most-streamed Finnish-language songs of all time. Their 2024 single "Rallikansa," released in April as a teaser for an upcoming project, shot straight to the top of Finland's Spotify charts and held the number one spot on Finland's official chart for a week. The single was preceded by the highly successful "Vuodet ollu tuulisii" tour in spring 2024, culminating in double performances at Helsinki Ice Hall.
Throughout the summer of 2024, JVG has been a familiar sight on numerous festival stages, including Himos Juhannus, Ruisrock, Tikkurila Festival, and Suomipop Festival.
