JO QUAIL

Having launched her solo career in 2010 Jo Quail has become an internationally acclaimed composer and cello virtuoso whose music blends classical elements with experimental composition and influences from metal, electronic, and ambient genres. From an early age, Quail began pushing the boundaries of traditional cello performance by composing her own works and developing her signature use of innovative looping techniques. Throughout her career, Quail has released six studio albums, including the breakthrough Exsolve (2018) and The Cartographer (2022). These works established her as a leading voice at the intersection of modern classical and heavier music. Her latest release, Notan, continues her fearless exploration of sound and dynamics, combining deep emotional expression with technical virtuosity.
