Hermanos Gutiérrez are a guitar duo formed by Swiss-Ecuadorian brothers Alejandro and Estevan, whose music unfolds like a cinematic road trip through deserts and coastlines, drifting toward sunrises and sunsets. Inspired by rugged wilderness, spaghetti westerns, Morricone and Lynch, and 1950s Latin music, the duo crafts hauntingly beautiful instrumental worlds.
Though they have only been active for a few years, Hermanos Gutiérrez have released an album almost every year, steadily refining their signature sound. Their 2023 album “El Bueno Y El Malo”, produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, captures the dark, deep energy that defines the brothers’ work.
With “Sonido Cósmico” (2024), Hermanos Gutiérrez leave the desert behind and venture into the cosmos. The album radiates Latin mystique and otherworldly guitar interplay that “shimmers with hallucinogenic energy” (Rolling Stone).
