Felix Zenger is a Finnish beatbox artist and instrumental virtuoso whose work has impressed audiences both in Finland and internationally. Zenger has collaborated with artists such as Kid Koala and Bahamadia, while in Finland he has recorded tracks with the likes of Kari Tapio, Asa and Giant Robot.
What makes Zenger particularly compelling is his ability to channel razor-sharp technical skill into an ambitious artistic vision. He was awarded Artist of the Year at the Funk Awards in 2007, and his exceptional abilities have also earned praise from stars such as Pharrell Williams.
With his 2011 debut album Won’t Say A Thing, Zenger pushed the boundaries of what beatboxing could be beyond its traditional conventions. At the heart of the record is a fresh musical vision, with instrumental virtuosity serving as a powerful expressive tool rather than an end in itself.
Zenger was a member of Iiro Rantala New Trio, which he formed in 2008 together with Iiro Rantala and Marzi Nyman. He later joined the line-up of Don Johnson Big Band in the latter half of the 2010s. In recent years, Zenger has performed extensively on international stages, including in Australia, Japan, the United States and across Europe.
