Italian composer Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) left an indelible mark on film music, and most of the most iconic soundtracks in the world of cinema were composed by Morricone. The legendary artist wrote music for early spaghetti westerns and award-winning art house films as well as for successful blockbuster magnets.
