One of Finland's most notable heavy music acts of the 2000s, Charon, is making a long-awaited comeback after a 14-year hiatus! Originally founded in Raahe in 1992, Charon broke into the forefront of the Finnish metal scene with their 2002 album Downhearted. During their active years, the band released a total of five studio albums and one compilation record. Known for their intense live energy, Charon toured extensively in Finland and abroad alongside genre heavyweights such as Sentenced and Nightwish. After disbanding in 2011, some of their most well-known songs remain "Little Angel," "Colder," and "In Trust of No One."
"Over the years, many people have shared how Charon's music influenced them in the early 2000s and how, now in midlife, they'd love to relive those times. Some have discovered our music only after we disbanded, so it's great to finally perform for them as well. We warmly welcome you to join us!" says drummer Antti Karihtala about the band's return.
