Children of Bodom is a Finnish metal legend and one of the country's most internationally successful metal bands, as their uncompromising extreme metal music took the world by a storm after already in the 90s.
The band have remained inactive in recent years until returning to the stage this February for the Celebration of Music concerts in Helsinki. Widely praised for honoring the band and it's original singer-guitarist Alexi Laiho's legacy, music, and fans, the shows were described as defining and deeply significant moments for both the community and genre.
Children of Bodom will perform two shows in Finland in 2027. The ensemble will feature the band’s original members Janne Wirman, Henkka Blacksmith, Jaska Raatikainen, and Alexander Kuoppala, joined by Lost Society frontman and longtime friend of the band Samy Elbanna, whose debut performance this year won over both fans and critics alike.
