CHARON

CHARON

One of Finland's most notable heavy music acts of the 2000s, Charon, completed a fully sold-out comeback tour of eight shows in late summer 2025. Known for its versatile and instantly recognizable sound, the band also released a new single, “Fall of Angels,” in conjunction with the tour.

“Last summer’s comeback tour genuinely felt like coming home for us. Playing together again and sharing that experience with the audience night after night was mind-blowing – the feeling was unmistakable for everyone: Charon has been missed, and the feeling is mutual. Not everyone who wanted to see us managed to do so last year, so there was no way we could leave it at that,” comments the band’s vocalist JP Leppäluoto.

Originally founded in Raahe in 1992, Charon  rose to the forefront of Finnish metal with the release of their 2002 album Downhearted. During their active years, the band released a total of five studio albums and one compilation album. Renowned for their intense live energy, Charon toured extensively both in Finland and abroad, sharing stages with major names in the genre such as Sentenced and Nightwish. Among the band’s best-known songs are “Little Angel,” “Colder,” and “Ride On Tears.”
