CAT POWER

CAT POWER

Cat Power, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time, is an American musician who has profoundly shaped the sound of American indie music with her work. Fearlessly revealing herself through her music, she is known for her atmospheric, soul-infused sound that also draws on strong punk and folk influences.

The artist is known for her captivating live performances. A striking example came in 2022, when Cat Power took the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall, recreating, song by song, one of the most famous and musically transformative live performances of all time.
The original concert, held at Manchester’s Free Trade Hall in May 1966, had long been mistakenly known as the “Royal Albert Hall concert” due to a mislabeled bootleg recording. In that legendary show, Bob Dylan switched from acoustic to electric guitar mid-set, a moment that outraged folk purists and forever changed the course of rock music.
