Featuring two legendary Hurriganes guitarists, Black Devils feat. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori performs Hurriganes’ greatest hits and live favorites — while also featuring new material and rarities. “The band’s goal is to honor the original spirit of Hurriganes and take the audience on a proper journey back in time, while recent releases also set our sights on the future together with Ile and Janne. Welcome to the shows!”, says Black Devils frontman J-P Kakkola.
Currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, Black Devils has spent the past few years collaborating with Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori. The group’s studio albums “Get Ready!” (2024) and “Hooked” (2025), along with the live album “Debaser Stockholm” (2025), have received praise from both fans and critics alike and climbed the album charts. A book about Black Devils written in Finnish by Topi Salmi, titled “30 vuotta hurrikaanin silmässä”, will be published in autumn 2026.
Black Devils has previously also collaborated with Remu and Richard Stanley, producer of Hurriganes’ “Roadrunner” album. According to legend, Black Devils was once considered as a possible name for Hurriganes back in 1971, but in the end Remu came up with Johnny and the Hurricanes — and the rest is history. The core lineup of Black Devils, whose name pays tribute to the roots of the original Hurriganes, consists of J-P Kakkola (vocals, drums), Tero Salminen (bass), and Matti Kähkönen (guitar).
