Ben Frost, who began by focusing on minimalist sound art and ambient-influenced electronica, now enhances his experimental music with elements of black metal, punk, and industrial. Originally from Australia, the avant-garde artist has lived in Iceland for the past decade. His latest and sixth studio album, Scope Neglect, released on the renowned Mute label (known for Depeche Mode and Nick Cave), has been praised for its rich and innovative soundscapes.
Beyond his 20-year solo career, Ben Frost has collaborated with artists like Brian Eno, Tim Hecker, and Swans. He has also composed music for opera, dance, and theater productions, as well as numerous TV shows and film soundtracks.
