Andrea Vanzo is an Italian composer and pianist who has quickly risen to prominence among the leading names in neoclassical music. Originally from Bologna, he began his career composing for theatre and film. Vanzo has received accolades for his compositions, including the soundtrack for the short film Shame and Glasses in 2013, and his piece Wires, which won an international composition competition in 2020. Shortly after, he released his first solo EP Frames, marking the beginning of his journey in contemporary classical music.
Vanzo is known for his post-minimalist style, blending classical elements with pop-inspired soundscapes. His music is warm and cinematic, drawing inspiration from nature, love, and personal experiences. His debut album Intimacy Vol. 1, released in 2022, is a collection of piano pieces that portray the Italian countryside and the emotions tied to it.
