ALOK

Internationally loved American performance artist, poet, comedian, speaker, and actor ALOK is known for their deeply moving performance style that challenges gender norms, as well as for their visible advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights.

They have appeared as a headliner at international comedy festivals and in numerous television and film productions, including the Netflix comedy special Hannah Gadsby: Gender Agenda as well as the HBO series Random Acts of Flyness and Sort Of. The artist has also starred in their own documentary short film ALOK.

ALOK’s literary works have gained worldwide recognition, and their work promoting equality has also been honored with awards, including recognition from the human rights organization the American Civil Liberties Union.

Continuously expanding the boundaries of creativity, ALOK’s unique performances have captivated audiences in more than 40 countries. In Finland, the artist has previously been seen live at Helsinki’s House of Culture in 2024 and at a sold-out show at the Savoy Theatre in 2022.
