Modern synthesizer music master Abul Mogard is the mythical alter ego of Italian musician Guido Zen, whose story traces back to the life of a Serbian metalworker. The former metalworker became acquainted with synthesizers while seeking to bring back the “clatter and rhythm” of sound into his life. Long performing under anonymity, he has created music not only for his studio albums but also for numerous films and installations, and has collaborated with artists such as Brian Eno and Carl Craig. His latest solo studio album, Quiet Pieces, was released in May.
